Privacy Policy
- You can use HushNest without an account. Your favorites, mixes, routine and settings then stay on your device.
- If you choose to sign in with Google or Apple, we store your profile and library so they sync across devices.
- We never ask for your child's name, photo or birthdate, and we do not use third-party analytics.
- The free Android version shows Google AdMob banner ads. Plus or the ad-free upgrade removes them.
- You can delete your account and cloud data at any time.
This policy explains what information the HushNest mobile app ("HushNest", "the app") and its online service collect, why, and the choices you have. HushNest is published by Diatomic Soft ("we", "us"). It applies to the app on Android and iOS and to hushnest.diatomicsoft.com.
1. Information you keep on your device
Without an account, HushNest stores your favorites, saved mixes, bedtime routine, reminder schedule, appearance and accessibility preferences, and downloaded sounds only on your device. We do not receive them. Backups you export are files you control.
2. Information we collect
Optional account
If you sign in with Google or Apple, sign-in is handled by Google Firebase Authentication. We receive and store:
- a unique account identifier, your email address (if the provider shares it) and which provider you used;
- the display name and avatar you choose in the app (avatars are illustrations, not photos);
- your cloud library: favorites, saved mixes and bedtime routine, so they sync between your devices.
We use this only to provide sign-in, sync and account deletion.
Sound downloads
Sounds are downloaded from hushnest.diatomicsoft.com the first time you play them, then saved on your device for offline use. Like any web request, this involves your IP address. We do not keep access logs of these downloads.
Purchases
Purchases are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We never see your payment card details. To confirm what you have bought and unlock features, we use RevenueCat, which receives your store purchase records (such as product, date and purchase token) and an app user identifier. If you are signed in, that identifier is your HushNest account identifier; otherwise it is a random anonymous identifier.
Advertising (free Android version)
The free Android version shows a small banner from Google AdMob on the Home and Library screens, never on the sound player. Ads are limited to general-audience content. Google may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address, general location derived from it, and device and ad-interaction information to serve, measure and limit ads. Where required (for example in the EEA and UK), Google's consent form asks for your choices before ads load, and you can change them later under Ad privacy choices in Settings. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings. Buying Plus or the one-time ad-free upgrade turns ads off. Reminders and notifications
Bedtime reminders are scheduled locally on your device. Notification permission is only requested when you turn a reminder on.
3. What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs, apart from the advertising described above.
- We do not collect information about your child, your microphone, camera, contacts or precise location.

These providers process data under their own privacy policies and may process it outside your country.
5. How long we keep information
- Account and cloud library: until you delete your account.
- Encrypted database backups: overwritten on a rolling schedule, normally within 7 days after deletion.
- Purchase records: kept by the stores and RevenueCat as needed for billing, refunds and legal obligations.
- Device data: until you remove it or uninstall the app.
6. Deleting your account
Delete your account in the app under your profile, or at hushnest.diatomicsoft.com/account/delete. This removes your sign-in identity and your cloud profile and library. Deleting your account does not cancel store subscriptions; cancel those in Google Play or App Store settings. Data saved only on your device stays there until you remove it.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can view and edit your profile in the app, export your library, and delete your account at any time. For anything else, contact us (section 10).
8. Children
HushNest is made for parents and caregivers to use, not for children to operate. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
Information is sent over encrypted HTTPS connections. Our database is not exposed to the internet and backups are encrypted. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
